Over the past year, we’ve come to love a handful of places around the Red River Gorge that feel like a home base for all our favorite views. The Gorge is wide and spread out, but these central areas provide different ammenities, whether you are looking for some of the conviences of a small urban center like Stanton or something a little more rustic like Slade, all offer easy access to the trails, overlooks, and winding roads we return to again and again.

Miguel's Pizza, at the heart of the Gorge, offers a great anchor point to get a sense of how far your potential booking might be from the action.

Once you have decided to join us we recommend booking your lodging early since this will be a busy time of year. If you have any questions please let us know!

The following are on the property. But please note there are other weddings that weekend and you may encounter other non-affiliated guests.

There are also 5 bungalows (with two suites each) on property. They are available on a first-come first-served basis for wedding guests. Contact Jess/ Greg if you are interested; they must be booked directly through us. They are cozy but sufficient (especially for one person) - a lot like a hotel room. The price is estimated to be around $150/ room/ night, with a 2 night minimum.

SLADE

Slade is in the "heart" of the Gorge. Staying here keeps you close to local favorites like Miguel's Pizza and Red River Rockhouse, with easy access to trails and activities. Prices are sometimes a bit higher, with availability more limited in peak seasons because of its central location. It’s just a short drive—about 10 minutes—from the venue, making it a convenient home base for the weekend.

CAMPTON

Staying near downtown Campton offers a quieter home base with local spots like Mi Finca Mexican Restaurant and amenities like Save A Lot grocery store. Campton exists on two sides of the same strip of Gorge so travel times, even between two areas of Campton, can vary. For example, Cliffview Lodge, a more hotel-like experience, is 20 minutes from downtown Campton.

STANTON

Stanton is the largest nearby town and serves as the main commercial hub for the Gorge. Closest of these options to LEX airport, it’s a great choice if easy access to things like groceries (Kroger) and a pharmacy (Walgreens) is a priority for you. Lodging here often offers a bit more availability, especially during busy season. It's about 15 minutes to most Gorge trailheads, making it a convenient and practical place to stay.

BEATYVILLE

Staying near Beattyville is further from the action (and airport), but more economical in price. Nearby staples like Los Two Brothers Mexican Restaurant and Dairy Bar offer a casual bite. It’s about a 25–30 minute drive to the venue, offering a bit more separation while still keeping everything within easy reach.

BLUE GRASS AIRPORT

Lexington, Kentucky

If you’re flying in, the easiest option is into Blue Grass Airport (LEX) in Lexington. From there, it’s about an hour’s drive to the Gorge—an easy, scenic stretch that trades city streets for rolling horse farms and, eventually, some winding two-lane roads. Renting a car will give you the most flexibility while you’re here. Cell service can be spotty, ride shares aren't ample, and destinations tend to be a little spread out.
